Prayer Diary
April - June 2010- Jesus is alive!. Praise God! And through Him we can have forgiveness.
- Ignite. For the weekend away, for safety and good friendships. Luke Dale coming to speak to them. For new young people joining the group that they will be accepted and feel part of it.
- Praise God that Tim & Helga have found a flat ,a nearby school for Samuel & Tim has a full-time job. Pray that Samuel will continue to settle well at school & meet all the learning targets for Year 1. Pray that Helga will know what she should be doing in the future.
- Pray for our Sunday services, for times of real worship & challenge, to make us more like Jesus.
- Pray for boys & girls in Brigades to find the Lord. Pray for the Display on May 8, that families come then, & on the Sunday to church.
- Praise God for leading the elders thus far as regards the new building. Pray for continued guidance for the next steps. Pray for the elders, all busy too with their own work & family commitments.
- Pray for a current UK or international situation , that those involved will meet God in new ways.
- Pray for our students here or elsewhere in the extra pressures now of exams & decisions about the future.
- Blast Off - Still no definite leaders/helpers. Pray for God’sguidance and God’s will to be done. Pray for all the children and Suzanne.
- Pray for the imminent opening of Hope House. Praise God for a BT Community Connections Award which will give a free laptop for community use & 1 year free internet access.
- Praise God for the ministry of City Lights. Pray that those involved will take opportunities to share the Gospel with clients, for energy & enthusiasm, & openness to God’s plan for the future of the bus.
- Pray for Sheila booking speakers for the women’s meeting (not easy) & that each week God will bless His Word to the group.
- Give thanks for the new team heading up 50+. Pray that this ministry will bring more to faith in Jesus.
- Pray that each of us will be a good witness for Jesus, at home, work, study or leisure.
- Thank God for a new Deputy Head, a woman, to be appointed soon at the Mukinge Girls’ school in Zambia. Pray for the girls, for freedom from fear of the supernatural & African traditions, & for a real faith in Christ.
- Praise God for those in 18+ who have found jobs. Others are applying, or need to know from the Lord what’s next. Megan, in Aberdeen, has glandular fever - & it’s exam time.
- Pray for Hannah in Pakistan for clear guidance & openings in regard to what God wants for her after her current contract finishes.
- Thank God for meeting the need for teachers in Kingdom Kidz, especially in the teens’ group. Pray that God will do a lasting work in the life of each young person.
- Springwood school.Over 20 children from more than 10 countries, together with 4 teachers and support staff. That's the Springwood Christian assembly every Monday morning. Pray for the team, Hazel, Suzanne and Judith, and for others to join the team.
- Pray for the mid-week groups to be a real spur to growth in our Christian lives.
- Pray for Ruth & Ben in Paraguay. They have recently discovered that the foundations of the King’s Kidz building are slipping. How should they deal with that? - repair or rebuild?
- Pray for more helpers for the craft work in See & Know. Pray too for baby Grace & her parents. Also pray about the possibility of starting a Bible study for the mums.
- Pray for those who miss out on fellowship because of illness & increasing age, that God will give them comfort & peace. Thank God for the ministry of the Care team.
- Large numbers of Christian peasants in Mexico have been in prison unjustly for years. Some have recently been freed. Pray for the others, for a speedy resolution for cases under review, & strength for them & their families.
- Give thanks for the practical service of so many in the fellowship, seen & unseen.
- Pray for the CAP money course, that many will benefit financially & spiritually.
- Thank God for the great relationships between all four of the pastoral staff. Pray that they will continue to be united in purpose & vision, especially with developments at Hope House.
- Real Hope needs more helpers, younger ones! Often on Wednesdays people are moved to respond to the message, but seem to forget about it afterwards. Pray for a lasting impact.
- Pray for people in the fellowship in situations of illness, difficult relationships, bereavement, loneliness.
- Pray for people in our city who need the Lord - asylum seekers, homeless, people of other faiths, youth involved in crime, etc.
- Pray for our country, with growing opposition to Christ & Christians from various groups, that we’ll stand firm with a loving witness.
