The Awakening team would like to invite you to join together and worship God and pray for an Awakening in our city of Bradford. We believe God is calling us to gather churches from in and around Bradford for a night of worship in Spirit and in Truth.

We believe God is going to move in great ways this year and we really want to praise him for his goodness. We also believe God wants us to be revived, refreshed and awakened to enable us to be lights in this dark city. Bradford needs the hope that we have.

We are excited about what this event could mean for the unity of our churches in Bradford, and how encouraging to see so many Christians all united praising God!

Join us for an amazing weekend in Grange-Over-Sands, Cumbria.

Our Guest speaker is Lizzie Kirkby:

I am married to John, I have two stepdaughters, Jasmine & Jessica, in their 20′s and three children Abigail (12), Tom (10) and Lydia (7).
John and I began our journey 15 years ago starting Christians Against Poverty, an evangelistic debt counselling charity based here in Bradford. It’s been a challenging & exciting time to see God working through CAP to help tens of thousands of people each year. I work in the Early Years depart- ment of Bradford Christian School and I absolutely love the opportunity to sow God’s truth into young lives. We attend the Light Church in Bradford & serve on the leadership team.

Boys’ & Girls’ Brigade Event: “The Twelve Days of Xmas Christmas”

Carols By Candlelight: A traditional Carol Service with the Salvation Army Band leading the singing.

Tuesday 13th December – 2pm

50+ Christmas Afternoon: For all ladies and gents over the age of 50. “A Celebration of Christmas”

Thursday 15th December – 7.30pm

Mark Greenwood & John Froud combine to present the message of Christmas helping you to prepare in the best possible way – £3 per ticket.

Friday 16th December – 6.30pm

Youth Night: Festive family team quiz night.

Sunday 18th December – 6pm

Facebook Group Changes

As Facebook aren’t doing much with ‘Groups’ and are pushing for Pages / Places more we have now set up an official Page for Sunbridge Road Mission which can be found here: http://www.facebook.com/SunbridgeRoadMission. There is no way for us to convert the group to a page so this group will stay open for now while you all shift over to the page. You can still leave messages etc and can also ‘like’ the page too.

20th-22nd January: Men’s Weekend Away

Early next year we are having a Men’s Weekend Away in Kirkham (near Blackpool). The theme is ‘Strength & Vulnerability’ and the guest speaker is Oly Evans.

26th November: Fund Raising Car Wash

Luke Parker and Lewis Wells are heading off to Romania on a Mission trip with Bradford Christian School. As part of their fund raising they are holding a car wash and breakfast morning at Sunbridge Road Mission. Come along with your filthy car and get it washed while you fill up with a bacon or sausage sandwich.

Saturday 26th November from 9am until 12 noon.

31st October: Light Party

On Monday 31st October we are holding a Light Party for children of Primary School age.

It’s free and will be full of games and prizes!

The lightest, brightest fancy dress costume will also win a prize.

No childcare will be provided during the conference, however there is a room next to the main hall with sound relayed through.
